This month, we're shining the spotlight on a student-athlete who truly defines what it means to Hustle—both on and off the field. Meet Nyah McKinney, a senior at West Orange High School, whose work ethic, leadership, and passion for giving back make her a standout in every sense of the word.
On the Field Hustle:
As the senior captain of the Girls Varsity Lacrosse team, Nyah led her squad to its first-ever Division Championship in program history. Her relentless drive, leadership by example, and unwavering energy during every practice and game made her the heartbeat of the team. Whether it's locking in defensively or pushing the pace on offense, Nyah’s commitment to her team is pure Hustle—gritty, focused, and fearless.
Off the Field Impact:
Nyah doesn’t just Hustle on the turf—she brings that same energy into everything she does. She’s a cheerleading captain, class president, Vice President of the National Honor Society, and co-editor of the school newspaper. In February 2025, she proudly represented West Orange High School at the National Girls & Women in Sports Day celebration hosted by the NJSIAA. Her presence at this prestigious event highlighted her role as a leader not only in sports, but in amplifying the voice of young women in athletics.
Future Hustle:
Nyah is headed to Howard University to study Biology, with the goal of becoming a Physician Assistant. Her path forward is all about care, community, and making an impact.
Join us in celebrating Nyah McKinney—an athlete who doesn’t just wear the uniform; she represents the Hustle mindset in every part of her life. Keep leading, Nyah. You’re everything Hustle Gear stands for.
