Event Promotions Director

Hustle Gear is seeking a self-motivated, entrepreneurial Event Promotions Manager to lead and grow our presence at youth sports tournaments and community events. This is a hands-on and strategic role responsible for identifying and securing events, planning what merchandise and media to bring, setting up and managing the booth, and recruiting help as needed to execute a smooth and successful on-site experience.

This is a 1099 contract role, ideal for someone with a passion for sports, event marketing, and hustle.


 

Key Responsibilities:

Event Discovery & Planning:

  • Research and secure vendor spots at youth sports tournaments and relevant community events
  • Build and maintain an event calendar with approvals from the Hustle Gear team
  • Coordinate booth logistics and travel details in advance

Inventory & Marketing Coordination:

  • Plan what apparel, gear, and display items to bring for each event based on audience and season
  • Work with the fulfillment and creative teams to ensure inventory, signage, and marketing materials are prepared
  • Coordinate pre-event social media promos or giveaways to drive booth traffic

On-Site Management & Sales:

  • Transport, set up, and manage the Hustle Gear tent and merch booth
  • Sell product using POS system (Square, Shopify POS, etc.)
  • Engage with athletes, families, and coaches to promote the brand
  • Capture content (photo/video) for social media and marketing use

Team Coordination:

  • Recruit and manage additional support staff for large or multi-day events
  • Ensure booth helpers understand their roles (sales support, inventory tracking, customer service, etc.)
  • Delegate responsibilities to ensure smooth execution

Post-Event Reporting:

  • Track and report sales, inventory, and event performance
  • Make recommendations for future events, booth improvements, or products to feature

 


 

Who We’re Looking For:

  • Energetic and personable — enjoys connecting with others
  • Organized and proactive with strong follow-through
  • Experience in event management, merchandising, field marketing, or sales
  • Able to lift and set up event gear (tent, tables, merch bins)
  • Familiar with youth sports or has event/street team experience
  • Able to manage time, logistics, and people effectively
  • Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
  • Available on weekends (events run Fri–Sun, primarily in spring/summer/fall)

 


 

Compensation:

1099 Independent Contractor

$150–$250 per event day, depending on distance, size, and duration

10–15% commission on event sales

Travel stipend or mileage reimbursement

Additional event planning hours paid hourly or as a flat monthly retainer

Bonus opportunities for reaching monthly sales or event targets

 


 

Schedule:

Weekend-heavy (Fri–Sun event days)

Remote work for event planning during the week (flexible hours)

Seasonal event volume, with growth potential as Hustle Gear expands
